A company is looking for a Principal Postgres Database
Engineer.
Key Responsibilities
Contribute to the Postgres open-source project, focusing on
features and bug fixes
Develop and improve Postgres features related to query planning and
performance monitoring
Collaborate with the engineering team to enhance product features
optimizing Postgres performance
Required Qualifications
At least 5 years of professional experience in Systems Programming
with C, C++, or Rust
Experience authoring complex patches to Postgres that have been
committed
Active contributions to the Postgres project through patch
reviews
Experience working with the Postgres planner or related
components
Self-directed involvement in open-source projects like Postgres
