At Hillcrest Medical Center, we're seeking a dedicated Medical Surgical Patient Care Technician to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating, while maintaining a safe and clean environment.
  
• Monitor patients' progress, collecting vital signs and specimens for lab tests as needed.
  
• Provide basic patient transport and housekeeping duties, ensuring the smooth operation of our unit.
  
• Record patients' intake and output, as well as perform other measurements in accordance with unit routines.
  
• Assist in providing treatments to patients, performing technical procedures such as feeding tube and catheter administration, suture/staple removal, and ECGs as ordered.
  
• Coordinate daily activities for the assigned unit, providing general clerical and administrative support.
  
  
  Requirements:
  
  To be successful in this role, you'll need:
  
  
  • 
    
  • A high school diploma or GED
    
  • Basic Life Support certification
    
  • Competency in at least two general areas of practice (cross-trained and cross-competent to cover multiple hospital services, roles, or functions)
    
  • Completion of an approved CNA, PCT, or paramedic certification, or be a senior nursing student with less than one semester to complete in a nursing program
    
    
    Preferred qualifications include:
    
    
    • 
      
    • Demonstrated proficiency in phlebotomy
      
    • A minimum of five years' experience in acute or long-term care
